Fragrance: François Coty, a French perfumer, created a singular fragrance he called Chypre in the early 20th century. French for Cyprus, the Mediterranean island where he found the spectrum of fruits, blossoms and woodsy aromas whose combination would soon become part of his famous Parisian perfume collection.
