I hate the smell of most hotel rooms and have carried the small tins for a while. Those a great for a 1-2 night stay, but if I happen to be traveling longer, I need more candle. This is the perfect solution. With the matches are in the lid, I don't even have to worry about finding a light. Yes, it's bulky and NTS is definitely going to search your checked bag, but it's worth it to me to mask those awful 'cleaner' smells of most hotels. Not to mention that it's nice to fall asleep in a room that smells like my own home. In case it wasn't clear, I also use these at home. They last a long time and put off a nice scent.
